A 32-year-old man from Mönchengladbach, traveling alone in a Ford car at around 6:20 p.m. on Saturday evening, was to be stopped by a police driver on the Krefeld road near the police headquarters as part of a traffic control. He disregarded the stop signs given and continued his journey out of town. After several traffic violations and urban speeds of up to 100 km / h, the vehicle fled via the BAB 52 towards Düsseldorf and in the AK Neersen onto the BAB 44 towards Krefeld. It reached speeds of up to 120 km / h. While still on the BAB 44, the 32-year-old braked his vehicle suddenly and tried to turn. The first pursuing patrol car slowed down sharply. There was a collision with the Ford car. The second pursuing patrol car was also unable to brake in time and hit the first patrol car. Due to the collision, the refugee and a police officer were slightly injured. The 32-year-old was temporarily arrested. A blood sample was taken from him because he was under the influence of narcotics. In addition, the driver had no driver’s license. The car was no longer registered and was registered with the number plates that were actually issued for another car. High damage to property occurred on the vehicles.
