Early on Friday morning around 12:45 a.m., a drunk 21-year-old Audi driver had an accident in the Stralsunder Ring and called the police himself. According to initial investigations, the man drove too quickly into a curve, lost control of the car and crashed into the fence of a car dealership. He was not injured. After he independently informed the police about the accident, he gave contradicting information to the officers who had been alerted, which is why the specialists of the traffic police were commissioned to record the accident. A breath alcohol test showed a value of 0.8 per thousand. The police officers also found signs in the young man that indicated the consumption of narcotics. Therefore, the driver involved in the accident had to go to the police station, where a blood sample was taken. After the measures at the Wiesloch police station were completed, the man was allowed to leave. The accident caused property damage of more than 20,000 euros.
