On Monday lunchtime, a patrol found a vehicle at an address they knew well in Frestedt with license plates that had actually been canceled, but now had a stamp. The emergency services then took the signs and filed a criminal complaint.

As part of the patrol, the officers saw a Passat with foreign license plates on a property on which vehicles with stolen license plates had been parked several times in the past. They checked the signs and found that the vehicle had already been deregistered at the beginning of October, but was now again wearing circular adhesive seals. According to the vehicle owner, an acquaintance attached it to the car for him. Apparently, the 45-year-old wanted to give the impression that the station wagon was registered and insured. The patrol forbade the man from using the car in the public traffic area in the future, took the license plate with them and filed a criminal complaint against the accused for falsifying documents and for violating the statutory insurance law.
