A81 / Grünsfeld: Three reports of drugs in traffic

No less than three drivers will have to answer for the fact that they drove a car or truck under the influence of narcotics at the weekend. The vehicles were stopped by the traffic police on Saturday and Sunday on the A81 and subjected to a check. It turned out that the men at the age of 24, 33 and 36 were under the influence of narcotics. All three had to accompany the officers to a hospital to have their blood drawn and were not allowed to continue their journey. The men are now facing advertisements.

Tauberbischofsheim: accident in the rain

An accident occurred on Sunday afternoon on the rain-soaked motorway near Tauberbischofsheim in which a person was injured. A 19-year-old was driving on the A81 towards Würzburg at around 11.30 a.m. when his Audi skid and got off the lane, presumably due to a speed that was not adapted to the weather conditions. The car then slid down an embankment, tipped over and finally lay on the roof. In the accident, the right front wheel of the Audi was torn off, which was then thrown over the autobahn, but luckily did not hit another vehicle here. First responders helped the slightly injured young man out of the vehicle before rescue workers took him to a hospital. The accident caused damage of around 20,000 euros.

A81 / Großrinderfeld: On foot on the motorway

For many road users, the motorway is the fastest way to get home. However, this route is not intended for pedestrians. Witnesses informed the traffic police in Tauberbischofsheim early on Sunday morning that a pedestrian was walking along the motorway near Großrinderfeld. A patrol met the apparently drunk 29-year-old on the hard shoulder and found that the man was on the way home from a private party. The pedestrian could not say exactly how he got onto the autobahn. The police packed up the man and took him safely to his overnight accommodation. A taxi would probably have cost the 29-year-old less, because he is now receiving an invoice for the transport costs in the patrol car.

A81 / Tauberbischofsheim: Accident under the influence of drugs

A combination of a speed not adapted to the weather conditions and the consumption of narcotics led to an accident on the Autobahn 81 near Tauberbischofsheim on Sunday evening. A 56-year-old was driving his BMW in the direction of Würzburg when he lost control of his car on the wet road and turned right off the lane. When the accident was recorded, police officers found signs of drug use and subjected the man to a test. Because this indicated the previous consumption of THC, the man had to accompany the officers to a hospital, even though he had not suffered any injuries in the accident. The 56-year-old had to give a blood sample there. An advertisement awaits him now. Damage to the BMW amounted to around 4,000 euros. The car had to be towed.

Bad Mergentheim – Markelsheim: garage door demolished and cut down An unknown road user collided with a garage door in Bad Mergentheim-Markelsheim on Saturday night and then simply drove away. Between 10 p.m. on Friday evening and 7.15 a.m. on Saturday morning, the driver of a motorcycle must have collided with the garage door on Leichtenstrasse, thereby pushing the plastic door inwards. Not only was the garage door damaged, but also a Nissan standing in the garage. The property damage amounts to a total of around 3,500 euros. The Bad Mergentheim police station accepts witness information on 07931 54990.

Königheim: Fire in residential building

In a fire in a residential building in Königheim, a 25-year-old suffered from smoke poisoning. Presumably a pot of food was forgotten on the stove in the house on Prof.-Träger-Strasse, whereupon the contents of the pot and then the extractor hood caught fire. The 25-year-old tried to put out the fire, but inhaled so much smoke that rescue workers had to take the woman to a hospital. The fire brigade finally brought the fire under control. There was property damage amounting to around 5,000 euros.

Freudenberg: Drunk caused an accident and drove on

A 31-year-old allowed his slightly injured passenger to get out of the car after an accident in Freudenberg on Sunday evening, but then the driver left the scene of the accident without waiting for the police. The man was behind the wheel of a Citroën at around 9 p.m. and was driving on the state road from Freudenberg in the direction of Wertheim-Mondfeld. Shortly after the confluence with Freudenberg-Boxtal, the 31-year-old lost control of his vehicle in a left turn, turned right off the lane and hit a wall with his car. The 50-year-old co-driver suffered minor injuries in the collision, but was able to free himself from the accident vehicle. After the passenger got out and did not want to get into the vehicle at the request of the driver, he continued on his way despite the damage and the deployed airbags. Rescue workers took the passenger to a hospital. The 31-year-old was finally found at home by the police, where a test revealed that the man had driven with almost two per thousand alcohol in his body. For him, too, the journey continued to a hospital, where the 31-year-old finally had to hand in a blood sample and his driver’s license. The amount of property damage incurred in the accident is still unknown.

Bad Mergentheim: Mercedes damaged by an unknown person

A Mercedes GLC was damaged by an unknown road user in Bad Mergentheim last week. The car was parked on Thursday afternoon at around 5.15 p.m. in the upper parking lot of a Kurhaus in Erlenbachweg. When the owner returned to his vehicle around 7.45 p.m. on Friday evening, he noticed damage and blue paint on the passenger door. Presumably the driver of a blue vehicle got stuck on the Mercedes. The Bad Mergentheim police station accepts witness information on 07931 54990.
