Colorful flowers in the front yard? Beautiful! But cannabis? Not a good idea!
A police officer made this unusual find on Friday, September 10, as part of his patrol in Hamm-Mitte: At around 3:30 p.m., the police officer did not see beautifully planted, colorful flowers in the front garden of a house – but three fully grown, around 1.70 meters tall cannabis plants. The plant owner probably thought: the more obvious, the less noticeable it is!
Together with a preliminary decision and other emergency services, the house and cannabis plant owner was confronted: The 58-year-old declared that he would grow his annual supply himself – in his own front yard.
However, the in-house cannabis cultivation was stopped by the police on the spot: They secured the cannabis plants.
Criminal proceedings were initiated against the 58-year-old. (Hr)
