In the course of excavations, an aerial bomb was uncovered on a plot of land west of the B3 level with the Gundelfingen industrial area at a depth of three meters. The assessment by the ordnance disposal service showed that defusing is possible.
This is scheduled for Friday morning, 08/20/2021, from 6:00 a.m. and is expected to take a maximum of 1.5 hours.
The experts from the ordnance disposal service specified a radius of 400 meters, which partially affects the Gundelfingen industrial area. The affected businesses and households were informed immediately by the municipality.
The Freiburg Police Headquarters is on site with emergency services and will carry out barrier measures in the area of the Mooswald, the industrial area Gundelfingen and on the local section of the B3 (between the Hans-Bunte-Straße driveway and the northern feeder driveway) for the duration of the rescue.
