District of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald
Municipality: Schluchsee
Late on Sunday evening, October 24th, 2021, around 9:25 p.m., officers from the Titisee-Neustadt police station during a patrol drive noticed a car driving the L 156 at about 100 km / h in Schluchsee, Fischbach district. 70 km / h was allowed in this area.
The driver should be subjected to a traffic control. He evaded this by continuing to drive briskly during which he did not always have the vehicle under control. So he came several times on the side of the oncoming traffic, where other road users were possibly endangered. At least one vehicle warned of a collision by flashing it on.
In Schluchsee, the driver continued to turn at considerably excessive speed onto the B 500 in the direction of Feldberg, but left it again at Aha in the direction of Äule, where he continued his flight uphill on unpaved forest paths. He continued to ignore signs of the persecuting patrol. Only after fleeing four kilometers along forest paths did he have to stop his vehicle at a point where normal cars could no longer get through.
He was caught and checked. A breath alcohol test showed a value of 2.36 per mille.
The 22 – year – old driver was provisionally arrested and given an ordered blood sample. He will probably have to go without the confiscated driver’s license for a long time.
The man is now awaiting an investigation into drunkenness in traffic, suspicion of road traffic hazard and the disregard of signs and instructions by police officers.
The Titisee-Neustadt police station (Tel .: 07651 9336-0) has taken over the investigation and asks witnesses or people who have felt endangered by the breakneck driving style of the driver to report.
