Due to heavy snowfall, traffic is currently (14.01.2021) in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district.
A blocking step has been set up on the B317 between Utzenfeld and Bärental; it is currently not possible for heavy goods vehicles over 7.5 t to pass through this area.
In the area of the Höllental the traffic flows slowly due to the persistent weather conditions, snow chains are mandatory for trucks in this area.
On the K4907, between Buchenbach and the so-called Spirzenstraße, there are significant traffic disruptions due to stuck vehicles, mostly trucks.
Since yesterday, January 13th, 2021, there have been several road accidents in the district due to weather conditions, fortunately mostly sheet metal damage.
The police ask the road users, if possible, not to drive above the heights of the Black Forest and to wait for the persistent weather conditions.
