Today, Thursday, December 23rd, 2021, an animal carcass was reported to the police in the early afternoon hours, which was clearly marked by animal damage.
When officers from the Titisee-Neustadt police station carried out the check, they found that the carcass was a dead deer. The carcass was not far from the campsite or the lake route.
Due to the noticeable bite marks and the great loss of substance on the carcass, it was already suspected by passers-by that a wolf might have caused the animal damage.
The carcass was promptly inspected by the person authorized to hunt in this area. This announced – even after consulting the responsible wildlife institute – the all-clear.
In the present case, there are NO indications that the deer was torn by a wolf.
