On January 28, 2022, at around 11 a.m., a 45-year-old minibus driver drove on the B31 coming from Freiburg in the direction of Donaueschingen. In the Loeffeltal curve area, it crossed into the oncoming lane. An oncoming truck driver tried to avoid the car, but was unsuccessful. The two vehicles collided, resulting in minor injuries to the minibus driver and his 33-year-old passenger. First aid was given in a nearby clinic. The vehicles were recovered by local towing companies. The total damage caused is estimated by the police at around 18,000 euros.
Traffic was obstructed for the duration of the rescue work, as the roadway had to be closed several times.
The Titisee-Neustadt police station has started the investigation and is asking any witnesses to the accident to call 07651 93360.
