In the early morning hours of Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021, around 5 a.m., an accident occurred at a built-in barbecue / fireplace in the garden of a residential property.
According to initial investigations, a couple wanted to light a barbecue area early in the day and used a liquid barbecue lighter for this. Obviously there were dosing and / or handling difficulties. A sudden flash of fire seriously injured the 38 – year – old woman. She had to be flown to a hospital in the surrounding area by rescue helicopter.
Her 37 – year – old husband injured his arm so badly that he also had to be treated in a clinic.
The Titisee-Neustadt police station has started the investigation and investigated how this accident could have come about.
