Duisburg / Mönchengladbach / Ruhr area: (ots)
After years of investigative work in the isolated structures of organized rocker crime, the Duisburg police and the Duisburg and Mönchengladbach public prosecutor’s offices are carrying out large-scale searches in several cities on the Rhine and Ruhr this morning (September 2). Special forces and riot police forces are deployed in Duisburg, Mönchengladbach, Leverkusen and Mülheim an der Ruhr, among others. The focus of the action are several suspects who can be assigned to the rocker group of the Hells Angels. Some are suspected of participating in two attempted murder in 2013 and one murder in 2014.
The operational measures are currently still ongoing – further information will be published by the Duisburg police press office in the course of the morning.
