On Friday, May 21, 2021, around 5:45 p.m., officers from the Ahlhorn motorway police checked a van on Autobahn 1 in the direction of Bremen.
During the inspection, the officers found that the van, which was driven by a 30-year-old man, was neither insured nor registered. Criminal proceedings were initiated against the man from Chemnitz for violating the compulsory insurance law. The continued journey with the van was prohibited.
In addition, there was an arrest warrant against one of the passengers, who was also the owner of the van. The 43-year-old man from Hamburg was taken to the nearest correctional facility and has to serve his sentence there. As the vehicle owner, he will also have to answer legally because of the lack of insurance cover.
