Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) also speaks out in favor of a significant tightening of the measures to reduce contact in view of the continued high number of infections if the incidence numbers do not drop in the near future. “The approach, short and comprehensive, to really make a difference, is probably the more successful. If we don’t get there with the development of the next week or two until Christmas, then we have to discuss it,” said the Minister of Health at phoenix (Monday, December 7th). In view of the incipient discussions about the sequence of vaccinations against the coronavirus, Spahn warned that despite all the necessary debate, the joy of having a remedy against the virus should not be neglected. “The fact that we now have a vaccine is a huge achievement. I am proud that the first test worldwide was developed in Germany, and the first vaccine too. That speaks for this country and its strengths.”
With regard to the election of a new CDU chairman, Spahn made it clear that he would continue to stand for the team with the NRW Prime Minister Armin Laschet. “Laschet and I made a conscious decision to join this team because we have different perspectives, perspectives, biographies and experiences,” said Spahn, who saw the collaboration as fruitful.
