Due to the storm storm Victoria, there were several deployment sites for the Mülheim an der Ruhr fire brigade in the evening hours of February 16, 2020. These were mainly fallen trees, flying parts and detached roof tiles. In the area of the Menden Bridge, a tree fell onto the road and buried two parked cars beneath it. As part of the operational measures, loose branches threatened to fall from another tree and had to be removed using a turntable ladder. Among other things, trees fell onto the street on the Humboldtring, the neighboring path, the Uhlenhorstweg and the Lower Saarlandstraße and had to be removed by fire brigade forces. People were not harmed by the gusts of wind in Mülheim an der Ruhr. Since numerous vehicles of the professional fire brigade were tied to deployment sites at the same time, the members of the Broich volunteer fire brigade who were on duty at the fire station 1 were also involved in the deployment with an assistance fire-fighting group vehicle. During the storm operations, there were various short-term traffic disruptions in the urban area. (MSchü)
