The paper container is on fire
Wann: 8. Januar 2022 15:13 - 16:43 Uhr
Wo: Asternweg
A container filled with paper and cardboard caught fire for a reason that was still to be determined. When the fire brigade reached the scene, flames and smoke were visible. Due to the high fill level and the narrow confines of the container, the fire fighting could not initially be carried out effectively. A swap truck with a crane was therefore requested to lift the container and empty the burning contents. After this took place, a squad wearing respiratory protection with a jet pipe was able to fight the fire quickly. Nobody got hurt. 14 rescue workers from the Löbtau fire and rescue station and the Gorbitz district fire brigade were deployed.

The fire in a gazebo was reported to the integrated regional control center in Dresden. When the first emergency services arrived at the scene, a four-square-meter garden shed had burned down completely. The owner tried to put out the fire with water from a rain barrel. The fire brigade carried out an investigation with a thermal imaging camera and extinguished the smoldering remains with a jet pipe. The owner was examined by the emergency services as a precaution, but was released unharmed. 22 emergency services from the Albertstadt fire and rescue station, the Neustadt rescue station, the B service and the U service were deployed.
Kitchen fire
Wann: 9. Januar 2022 15:38 - 18:01 Uhr
Wo: Kesselsdorfer Straße
For unknown reasons, objects on the stove caught fire in the kitchen of an apartment on the first floor of an apartment building. When the fire brigade arrived at the scene, smoke came out of an open window. The tenant of the apartment was able to escape into the open with her dog. However, her cat was still in the apartment. Two troops wearing respiratory protection went to the fire apartment to rescue animals and fight fires. The missing animal was found under a couch and rescued. The fire could be brought under control with a jet pipe. The affected area was ventilated and the surrounding apartments were checked by the underground service for any possible entry of smoke gases. This remained inconclusive. As a precautionary measure, one person was transported to a hospital with suspected smoke poisoning. 28 rescue workers from the Löbtau fire and rescue station, the Löbtau rescue station, the B service, the U service and the Gorbitz district fire department were on duty.
