Also this year, the specialist magazine KU Gesundheitsmanagement has honored particularly successful and innovative clinic marketing concepts. Despite the crisis status and difficult conditions, the Helios Region East convinced and was able to secure a top placement in four different categories.
Two months after the application deadline, the specialist magazine KU Gesundheitsmanagement announced the winners of the KU Awards 2020. As part of the selection process for particularly innovative projects, the specialist jury of the magazine evaluated the campaigns submitted by the participating hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation clinics and companies from the health industry in terms of their strategy, their innovative strength and their originality. After Helios Klinikum Berlin-Buch was able to secure a firm place on the winners podium in recent years, this year the entire Helios Region East won over in the Special Prize category, 1st place in the Clinic Marketing category and in the Awarded 2nd place in the online marketing category and 3rd place in the employer marketing category.
The regional manager of the Helios Region East, Prof. Dr. Sebastian Heumüller and his colleagues are happy about the mutual success: “I find it remarkable that we have worked together so successfully as a region this year, which has presented us with some challenges. Our teamwork was duly recognized, of which we can be very proud. I am happy to have such a dedicated team of marketing experts in the region. ”
Successful clinic campaigns: These are the winning projects
The Helios Verwaltung Ost received first place in the special price category for its digital event format “When analog fails: digital live chats”. The background to the project was the massive restrictions in the event area caused by the corona crisis and the associated cancellation of all events in the Helios clinics. On the basis of a detailed target group analysis and the selection of the right channels, the live streams on Facebook and Instagram, virtual delivery room tours, trainee live chats, live online seminars with doctors and online conferences have become popular event formats with increasing audience numbers.
Anja Himmelsbach, department head of corporate communication and marketing in Buch, confirms: “Even in times of social distancing, virtual events offer us the opportunity to stay in contact with people and encourage interaction with them. We are sure: It will remain digital even after Corona. ”
The establishment of the Helios newsroom: 2nd place in the clinic marketing category
In order to be able to communicate even more effectively and with less use of resources, the 19 clinics in the Helios Region East have established a joint newsroom in the past few months. The newsroom team, consisting of the department heads Anja Himmelsbach, Katharina Kurzweg, Martin Wachter and Stefan Möslein, mainly used the versatility and breadth of information so that both patients and employees could be provided with the right information, especially in the peak phase of the spread of the corona pandemic of social media. Relevant topics were picked up on the digital channels Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and played back using creative content formats. The advantages of the new organizational model? Short communication channels, flexible working, more overview and transparency as well as better ability to react and act.
Online and employer marketing: more interaction through innovative formats
The Helios Region East also took second place for its influencer marketing strategy in the online marketing category. The aim of the cooperation with influencers was and will be in the future to convert the range of social media awareness into interactions and leads / conversions and to sustainably strengthen the Empolyer branding of the Helios clinics. Thus, the focus should increasingly be on the bond between existing and potential employees and the Helios Kliniken as a modern and attractive employer.
An approach with which the Helios Region East and the Sachsen-Anhalt clinics were able to secure third place in the Employer Branding category. Under the motto “From now on different”, the aim of the image campaign was to use employees as mouthpieces for the clinics and to reach potential applicants more sustainably with an emotional approach and real identification opportunities.
After a challenging but also successful 2020, the corporate communications team is looking forward to implementing exciting projects and innovative campaigns in the coming year, with which the Helios Region East will continue to be a reliable and strong partner in health issues, both in analog and, above all, digital is perceived.
