In April filming began for two new films in the popular “Finally Friday in the First” series “Käthe und ich”. In the seventh part, “Friendship” (AT), psychologist Paul (Christoph Schechinger) helps two friends to reunite, whose story takes him on a trip to the GDR in the 1970s and 1980s. In “Die Liebe” (AT), after separating from Erina, Paul develops feelings for a woman who is also his patient for the first time.
Other roles include Mona Pirzad as Jule, Ulrich Friedrich Brandhoff as Eric, Ben Braun as Aaron and Thelma Buabeng as Dr. See Kira Madaki. Christine Schorn, Ulrike Krumbiegel, Paula Kalenberg, Justus Johanssen, Kirsten Block, Ella Lee, Daria Wolf and many others play in episode roles
The ARD Degeto production will be filmed in Waren an der Müritz, Biesenthal and Berlin until the end of June.

“Käthe and I – Friendship” (AT)
Christine Saalfeld (Christine Schorn), 79 years old, asks Paul for help. A doctor diagnosed her with the onset of dementia. While she confidently put away the diagnosis, she worries about her daughter. Marianne (Ulrike Krumbiegel) lives completely alone – without a husband, friends or children. Mother Christine is her only caregiver. Paul finds out that there was a crucial point in Marianne’s life – the break with her best friend Geli in the 1980s. In order to give her a new zest for life and to calm her mother Christine, Paul (Christoph Schechinger) is asked as a mediator. In addition, further trouble threatens when Paul Jules (Mona Pirzad) catches husband Aaron (Ben Braun) with his new boss, clinic director Heidrun (Sinja Dieks) …
“Käthe and I Die Liebe” (AT)
Ina (Paula Kalenberg), in her late twenties, went blind five years ago due to a genetic eye disease. Actually, the young woman is fully in life, but since the bite attack of her guide dog, she has been struggling with an anxiety disorder. Since she is currently applying to teach at a regular school and is dependent on a guide dog, Paul (Christoph Schechinger) and Käthe should help her to regain trust. Meanwhile, there is another obstacle in her way: Skeptical parents want to prevent her from being hired and call the school authorities to act. Paul is fascinated by Ina’s willpower and is increasingly drawn to her. This is also noticed by Eric (Ulrich Friedrich Brandhoff), who urgently warns Paul against developing unprofessional closeness to a client. When Paul approaches her anyway, Eric reveals a secret chapter from his past to him. Paul encourages Eric to face the truth and finally free himself from the burden of his story …
