On Saturday lunchtime (February 20th, 2021) around 1 p.m., an attentive employee of a drugstore in Dresden Neustadt train station observed three men engaged in a joint theft and informed the federal police. The officers were able to provide the three men from Georgia and Russia.
During the subsequent search, a vehicle key and a small amount of narcotics were found. The vehicle was parked in the immediate vicinity. Inside the vehicle, other stolen goods were found in two rucksacks and a travel bag. In addition to baby food, hygiene and cosmetic items, tools were also found. Proof of ownership could not be provided. The stealing damage was around 165 euros. The total value of the stolen goods found amounts to approx. 1,300 euros.
The men aged 34, 35 and 42 were brought before the judge at the Dresden District Court yesterday. This ordered the pre-trial detention. The trio was then admitted to the Dresden correctional facility.
The Dresden Federal Police has initiated investigations into gang theft and violation of the Narcotics Act.
