A 60-year-old from Freiburg (Breisgau) was the victim of theft last Friday. The incident happened around 3 p.m. in an Inter-City-Express, while traveling from Frankfurt am Main to Kassel.

When the 60-year-old went to the toilet, a 22-year-old Saarbrücken resident seized the opportunity and stole a laptop worth around 1500 euros.

Bad luck

Other travelers had observed the thief stealing the thief and so the Saarbruecker could be arrested by officers of the federal police in the Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe train station. The laptop was returned to its rightful owner.

Because of the theft, the 22-year-old must now expect a criminal complaint.

The Federal Police Inspectorate in Kassel has started the investigation.
