Sixth annual Influential Leaders initiative recognizes 25 outstanding business school graduates for their contribution to society
AACSB International (AACSB) – the world’s largest association for business education – is today 2021 Class of Influential Leaders known, a group of 25 business school graduates whose inspirational work serves as a role model for the next generation of business leaders.
Building on the recently adopted 2020 business accreditation standards of the AACSB and a renewed focus on creating positive social change, the organization honors graduates from business schools who use their business education in a unique way to make a positive impact. This year’s award winners include advocates of diversity and inclusion, social entrepreneurs, economic development experts, and healthcare leaders – an example of the diversity of career paths supported by business education. The “Influential Leaders” initiative is an example of how business education is connected for better.
“These awardees are a perfect example of business education in action,” said Caryn L. Beck-Dudley, AACSB President and CEO. “AACSB-accredited business schools are committed to making a positive impact on society in a variety of ways – and these alumni show that business education is indeed a force for good. We are inspired and honored by their efforts to be awarded. ”
In the sixth year of the AACSB Influential Leaders’ existence, nearly 250 graduates from business schools that have a lasting impact on the economy and society are honored. All honorees have a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree from one of the more than 880 AACSB-accredited business schools worldwide. The “2021 Influential Leaders” initiative is supported by Barco.
Each Influential Leader has been nominated by their alma mater with inspiring stories that show how the honorees lead and innovate in their industries, contribute to their communities, and encourage future leaders. This year’s class represents AACSB-accredited business schools in 15 countries, and the honorees have influenced many industries including education, healthcare, technology, and sustainability.
