Game entry: “From the moment we analyzed the opponent, who is of great quality, we realized that it was important to wear our best competitive attire, to catalyze the players into a high-speed entry, full of tactical intent, with and without the ball, without ever speculating with the game. That was the message sent. The players were very strong, we castrated the opponent’s offensive feeders a lot and we tried to be vertical with the ball, to cut the paths to the opposing goal. The players interpreted the script to the millimeter and, therefore, they are of congratulations.”
Exhibition difference: “We could have scored more goals [ao Benfica]. We’ve created enough for that. But, more than creating opportunities to score, it is important to emphasize how the team never left the game. Defensively, we were perfect.”
