TCL comes with glasses with a OLED screen. It is not about smart glasses, but about a copy that can display content via a smartphone or laptop. Initially, the glasses were called Wearable Display, but that name has now changed: Nxtwear G is the name of the device.

Nxtwear G
TCL Nxtwear G is a pair of glasses with two OLED screens of 1920 x 1080 pixels. You connect the device to the USB-C port with, for example, your phone, tablet or PC. You do this, for example, to charge, but also to show the images. He can actually do very little on his own: it is a kind of computer monitor, but small (and two pieces, one image for each eye).
The device therefore transmits an image, so if you want to watch YouTube on your smartphone, you still open it on your smartphone, but via the cable connected to your glasses you see the images directly in front of your eyes on your glasses. If you still want to see the outside world, you can look below or above the glasses, so that you can see what is happening around you. Not that it is advised to walk on the street already Netflixed, but at home it can also be useful to know whether it was your cat’s tail that hit your arm, or whether a fat fly has landed on your arm. Or to tap something on your keyboard, for anyone who can’t tap ten fingers blindly.

The glasses are made of metal and come with a travel case and nose pads. You can change those, but the frame is otherwise black. With a special adapter you can adjust the glasses completely to your eye strength.
Unfortunately, it is not yet known if and when the glasses will appear in the Netherlands. It will be available in Australia in July (a month from now). Other countries will be added later, but which one is still unknown. We do know how much the glasses will cost, namely between 550 and 600 euros. At least if we can start from the Australian suggested retail price.
