While the legislative process of the 3 Act on Reform of Power Institutions, including the amendment to the Airlift Act, was completed, ministers of related ministries held a joint briefing and pledged to reform without disruption.

In particular, Justice Minister Chu Mi-ae reaffirmed that he is the chief supervisor of the prosecution’s affairs and emphasized that he will fulfill his vocation of reforming the prosecution.

The prosecutors, the police, and the heads of the three power agencies of the National Intelligence Service gathered together.

After the 3rd Law on Reform of Power Institutions, which passed the National Assembly, was officially promulgated, it is a place to reveal the future action plan.

Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae said through the adjustment of the investigative powers, the prosecution will faithfully fulfill its natural role in protecting human rights in the future.

In addition, he said he will fulfill his calling for reform of the prosecution so that the prosecution can be reborn as an institution trusted by the people.

National Intelligence Service Director Park Ji-won said that there will be no political intervention and that information activities will be subject to democratic control of the National Assembly.

We decided to cooperate closely with the police for the transfer of anti-aircraft investigation rights, and to consider establishing a dedicated organization to ensure there is no gap in national security investigations.

Minister of Public Administration and Security, Jin-young, also emphasized that he would improve the capabilities of security guards by taking over the authority of the anti-aircraft investigation.

In preparation for the full introduction of the autonomous police system, a preparatory group will be formed immediately, and the reorganization of the investigation system for the launch of the national investigation headquarters will be completed within this year.
