Jeon Joo-hwan, 31, was handed over to prosecution on the 21st, who killed a station employee in the women’s restroom at Sindang Station on Line 2 of the Seoul subway.

Seoul Central Police Station arrested Jeon Joo-hwan, accused of retaliatory murder under the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes Act (Special Price Act), on prosecution around 7:30 the same day.

Jeon, who appeared in front of reporters without a mask, said: “I’m really sorry. I was really crazy.” He bowed his head. To the reporter’s question “Is there anything you want to say to the grieving family?”, He replied “I’m sorry.”

Jeon Joo-hwan is expected to be imprisoned in the Seoul Detention Center after being subjected to a basic investigation by the Seoul Central District Attorney’s Office.

Jeon Joo-hwan is suspected of chasing a Seoul Transportation Corporation station worker who persecuted her on the 14th and killed her with a knife in the women’s restroom at Sindang station.
