The second meeting of the Disciplinary Committee against Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol will be held the day after tomorrow (15th).

Ahead of the disciplinary committee, President Yoon Seok-yeol argued that the deliberation held on the 10th was invalid, and the disciplinary committee refuted that there was no problem, and there are ongoing over-the-counter battles.

The Prosecutor and Disciplinary Committee of the Ministry of Justice will hold the second deliberation date for Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol at 10:30 am on the 15th and conduct interrogation of eight witnesses.

The positions of the eight adopted Witnesses are sharply mixed at 4 to 4, and so far, there is a greater possibility of witnesses present in favor of Yun.

First, the disciplinary committee has a policy to proceed with a disciplinary decision after the witness interrogation is completed.

However, it is unclear whether the procedure will work.

First, President Yoon Suk-yeol raised the claim that the disciplinary committee deliberation held on the 10th was completely invalid.

Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae had to have nominated an additional preliminary committee member, but it is illegal because it consists of only six members.

On the second date, we will request that the disciplinary committee be reorganized with 7 members.

On the other hand, Professor Jeong Han-jung, the chairman’s representative, argues that nominating a reserve member is not mandatory, and that there is no need for a reserve member as it meets the quorum of doctors.

After the resignation of an external member, there is a controversy over whether the process of commissioning Professor Jeong was legal.

After requesting the disciplinary action, President Yoon is planning to reapply for refusal against Professor Jeong and Vice Minister Lee Yong-gu who joined the disciplinary committee.

In particular, it is a problem that Professor Jeong has revealed political predictions when he requested that President Yoon declare that he would not engage in politics even now.

Regarding the procedure for interrogation of witnesses, the disciplinary committee argues that it is correct that only disciplinary members can’interrogate’, while President Yoon argues that the right to question should be guaranteed.

Prof. Jeong is not bent on taking inquiries from President Yoon’s side and proceeding in a way that the disciplinary committee asks questions directly, so the battle over the procedure is expected to continue throughout.
