A man in his 50s who hit a stopped truck driver after receiving a stop sign was sentenced to imprisonment for’driver assault’.

The court decided that temporary parking and stopping were also’in operation’, which contradicted the recent controversial case of the assault of a taxi driver by Vice Minister of Justice Lee Yong-gu.

A man in his 60s, who was hit, stopped his vehicle and reported to 112, and the next day, his teeth were shaken greatly, and he was diagnosed with a need for treatment for 6 months.

The court recently imprisoned Mr. A for one year and six months in prison for applying the’driver assault charge’ under the Special Act, not just assault.

Mr. A insisted that the victim put the transmission in’parking, P’and was not’in operation’ because he tried to get off the truck after being hit.

The judges said that they only stopped briefly at the signal, and had to continue driving because there were a lot of vehicles in front and behind.

In addition, it was interpreted that the scope of’in operation’ under the Special Special Act revised in 2015 includes situations that could threaten the safety of the surrounding area by assaulting the driver, including temporary parking and stopping.

This ruling is attracting attention as a’like case’ and a different conclusion to the assault of a taxi driver by Deputy Minister Lee Yong-gu of the Ministry of Justice.

Deputy Minister Lee assaulted a taxi driver in November of last year, but the police said the car was in a stopped state and ended the internal investigation by treating it as a simple assault instead of the Special Act.
