A truth battle took place over the process of submitting his resignation by Judge Im Seong-geun, who was on the verge of impeachment for the first time in the history of an incumbent judge due to the suspicion of judicial Nongdan.

Deputy Judge Lim argued that Supreme Court Chief Kim Myung-soo rejected the resignation by mentioning impeachment during the interview process last year, but the Supreme Court completely refuted that it had never made such a comment.

It was belatedly known that Im Seong-geun, deputy judge of the Busan High Court, whose impeachment prosecution was recently proposed in the National Assembly, met with Supreme Court Chief Kim Myung-soo in May last year to discuss his appreciation.

After Judge Lim resigned for health reasons, he met Supreme Court Chief Kim, and media reports that he rejected the resignation by mentioning the possibility of impeachment.

The Supreme Court strongly denied it.

Chief Justice Kim met at the request of Deputy Chief Judge Im to discuss the issue of taking place, but he has never been formally submitted for resignation.

In particular, he emphasized that he was asked to think about personal information after seeing his health status, but he did not address the impeachment issue.

Then, this time, Vice-President Lim’s side rebutted, revealing the remarks of the then Supreme Court Chief Kim in detail.

Judge Lim explained that immediately before the interview, it resigned to the deputy chief of the Court Administration Department and reported this to Supreme Court Chief Kim.

He also argued that Supreme Court Chief Kim said that the political situation at the time should be considered, and that if the resignation is accepted, the National Assembly will not be able to discuss impeachment and may be criticized.

He added that Supreme Court Chief Kim said he would take care of whether the resignation was accepted. He added that the Supreme Court is currently in storage.
