The National Human Rights Commission of Korea, which has been investigating allegations of sexual harassment by the late Mayor Park Won-soon, concluded that “sexual harassment against victims is recognized” after half a year.
The Human Rights Commission issued a statement at around 7:30 on the evening of the 25th and announced that it is recognized that there has been sexual harassment against former secretary A, a victim of former Mayor Park.
However, he said that it is difficult to assume that the surrounding officials have recognized the fact of sexual harassment, saying that objective evidence is insufficient for allegations of acquiescence or assistance.
The Human Rights Commission announced that it had held an all-out committee presided over by the National Human Rights Commissioner Choi Young-ae from 2 pm today (25th) and decided on an ex officio investigation report on the allegations of sexual harassment by Mayor Park in five hours.
