New scams are rapidly spreading through blind date apps that connect meetings with strangers.

It is a method of approaching the opposite sex and building a sense of intimacy, then asking for’online money’ exchange and asking for remittance.

Some female members were even sexually assaulted by app managers, and police investigated.

On the 16th, Choi Mo, in her 30s, got to know a woman through a blind date app.

We talked every day, and in a short amount of time, we quickly got closer.

On the 19th, the woman said she had a problem, and asked Choi for help.

Another blind date app has 13 million won worth of’online money’, but because of the rules of the app, he cannot directly exchange money, so Choi asked for cash instead.

The app manager asked for 20% of the exchange amount as a commission, and Choi sent 2 million won without any doubt.

Since then, the app manager said that an investigation by the FSS suspicious of money laundering came in.

If he wanted to prove his innocence and receive money, he asked for an additional remittance, saying that 5 million won in the name of Choi must come in.

In this way, I lost 15 million won in just 6 hours.

Some female victims have even been sexually assaulted.

The app administrator used money as bait to request personal information, such as social security numbers, and if they refused, they were forced to act as humiliating words and swear words.

[앱 관리자 : 쿵 소리 나게 무릎을 꿇고요. 왼손으로 자기 뺨을 하나, 둘, 셋 (때리고). 군대를 안 가봐서 모르네.]

They even asked for photos of exposed body parts, and even sent pornography that they shot themselves.

It is similar to the technique used by the perpetrators of the initial room n.

At least 50 victims have been identified so far, and the amount of damage is hundreds of millions of won.

Victims are mainly in their 20s and 30s who use blind date apps, and due to the nature of online fraud, damage has continued regardless of region.

While investigations are being conducted at the Jongno Police Station and Nowon Police Station, in Incheon, where there are many reports, the Incheon Police Agency plans to direct the investigation by synthesizing the damage situation by police station.
