[더데일리뉴스] Busan City (Mayor Park Hyeong-jun) announced that it will hold a public tasting event for Season 2 of “Busan Food (B-FOOD) Recipe” at the La Valse Hotel Bolero Hall (located in Yeongdo-gu) at 6:30 pm today (29th).
This public tasting event is the first time the city presents the completed work of Season 2 of “Busan Food (B-FOOD) Recipes,” which was developed last July.
“Busan Food (B-FOOD) Recipe” is a project conceived through discussions, including consultation with experts, with the goal of incorporating Busan’s local ingredients and stories.
The city is planning a variety of gourmet content based on the vision of ‘Busan, a city of gourmets’ starting in 2023. Following last year’s season 1 dinner recipe, this year’s season 2 created a dish that reflects Busan’s various ingredients and stories through a semi-table structure.
Last March, we formed a recipe development team consisting of a total of 5 people, including food columnist Park Sang-hyun, gourmet experts, and chefs in each field.
The development direction was set through field surveys of local food ingredients and case studies, and after developing recipes for each team member, joint testing, and internal tasting and evaluation stages, 25 types of recipes were finally completed at the end of July.
The event will be held in the following order: ▲greetings ▲introduction of the opening video of the development process ▲introduction of the development menu recipe (recipe) and story (story) ▲tasting.
Lee So-ra, director of the city’s Citizen Health Bureau, Seong Hyeon-dal, vice-chairman of the City Council’s Welfare and Environment Committee, Lee Tae-seop, president of the Busan Tourism Association, Lee Sang-shin, president of the Busan branch of the Culinary Society, Koo Ja-seong, vice president of the Busan City Hospital Association, Min Kyung-hwa, president of Daedong University, Lotte Hotel chef Kim Bong-gon, Westin Chosun Busan chef Hyeon Ja-guk, About 30 people, including Park Hyatt Busan chef Park Gyeong-deok, media, and BNK Busan Bank officials, are scheduled to attend.
Attendees from all walks of life, including chefs and other gourmet experts, listen to detailed explanations of individual recipes and sample 12-cheop dishes prepared by the development team chefs.
The city plans to promote and distribute the 25 types of recipes developed this time in various ways.
Starting with this event, we plan to promote it through media such as social networking services (SNS) and distribute it so that it can be tasted at event venues, hotels, and restaurants.
The recipe will also be used as an official dinner menu at international events held in Busan in the future. As a symbolic food of Busan, it is expected to attract the attention of visitors, promote the globalization of Busan’s food, and increase Busan’s competitiveness as a gourmet city.
Lee So-ra, Director of the City Citizens’ Health Department, said, “It is very meaningful to be able to promote Busan’s unique taste and story both domestically and internationally through recipes containing Busan’s unique ingredients and culture.” He added, “Busan will continue to be a world-class gastronomy.” “We will pursue the development of various gourmet events and content to help the city establish itself as a city,” he said.
