A video of a Russian diplomat in North Korea and his family crossing the border by pushing a cart was released when the border was blocked by Corona 19.
In the video released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, they show joy after crossing the Tuman River iron bridge by pushing a cart carrying luggage and children.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted the photo on its Facebook account and said that they traveled from Pyongyang by train and bus to Naseon City, North Hamgyeong Province for about 34 hours, then crossed the border by pushing a cart for more than 1 km.
He said that the border was closed for more than a year due to Corona 19, which made it difficult and long to return.
After crossing the border, they met other foreign ministry colleagues at Hassan Station in the Maritime Territory of Russia and took a bus to Vladivostok International Airport. They were reported to have taken a flight to Moscow the morning of the following day.
The Russian embassy in Pyongyang said in July last year that 27 Russians returned to Russia by train from North Korea.
Since last year, North Korea has closed its borders to prevent the spread of Corona 19, and it is reported that many diplomats and staff of international organizations have left North Korea.
