This is not the only revelation that makes the ruling party nervous. As the ‘Myeong Tae-gyun List’ emerged which included around 20 people identified as being in contact with Mr Myeong, the ruling party found itself in a position where they were only looking at him Mr. Myeong’s mouth every day. However, there is no news that Mr. Myeong has been prosecuted. Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon said he even wrote a complaint, but did not submit it. According to Seoul Deputy Mayor for Political Affairs Kim Byeong-min, he and others actively tried to stop it. They said that if they took legal action, they would be buried in ‘Pollack issue pollack’ and the news would continue, so they stopped it.

However, the view of the opposition party is different. I think the ruling party is afraid of revealing the real truth. The ruling party and the prosecutors should be aware that the end of the Myung Tae-gyun controversy means that the material truth has been revealed at an early stage as people wish.
