[경제]Consumer prices are 0% in the fourth month… shopping cart prices surge 10%

Consumer prices rose 0.6% last month, recording a 0% increase for four consecutive months.

On the other hand, the so-called shopping cart prices that the people feel, such as the prices of agricultural and livestock products, have jumped significantly.

The consumer price index for the first month of the new year rose only 0.6% from the previous year.

Since October last year, it has been increasing at the 0% level for four consecutive months.

However, shopping cart prices, which are closely related to people’s life, have jumped more than 10%, increasing the burden.

First of all, the price of livestock products soared 11.5%, the most in six years since 2014.

The number of eggs, which is causing shortage due to the spread of avian influenza, rose 15.2%, recording the largest increase since March last year.

Pork and domestic beef also increased significantly by 18% and 10%, respectively.

Agricultural products also rose 11.2% as crops deteriorated due to cold waves and heavy snow. By major item, apples rose 45.5%, green onions 76.9%, and onions 60.3%.
