Today, on the 15th, the Japanese TV variety show “The! Tetsuwan! DASH!! Live Broadcast from Tokyo! New Large-scale Project Announcement 3-hour Special!” (7:00 PM) will be making a live announcement of their “new large-scale project.” Starting with DASH Village in 2000, followed by DASH Beach, DASH Island, and Shinjuku DASH, “The! Tetsuwan! DASH!!” has been continuously pioneering new projects.
In addition, the 3-hour special will feature two luxurious segments. In the “23rd Year of Rice Cultivation in Fukushima – Conclusion Edition,” TOKIO will focus on the rice cultivation that they have been doing with their friends and juniors since the establishment of DASH Village in Fukushima. This year, marking the 23rd year, they have ventured into developing the barren land in Ohtama Village, Fukushima Prefecture, and attempted rice cultivation on terraced fields for the first time. They will deliver a complete record of the 235 days until the harvest.
The members who visited the rice fields in July and August implemented various measures against wild boars and other pests. In mid-September, the voice of Matsumura saying, “This is the 23rd rice harvest, please take care!” echoed. They had a fun and lively harvest festival with their friends in Fukushima. The question remains: how well did the rice grow in the place that was a barren land just six months ago? Kento Kishi and Shintaro Mori of SixTONES, the juniors of the group, have prepared surprises for this occasion.
Furthermore, the special will also feature the “DASH Food Heritage Special Edition – Catch the Giant Marlin in Kagoshima!” The DASH Food Heritage has been showcasing local dishes that have been passed down throughout Japan and conveying their flavors. In this special edition, they visit Ichiki-Kushikino City in Kagoshima Prefecture with the goal of “using the ingredients we catch ourselves to convey the food culture!” TOKIO’s Shigeaki Kato, Naniwa Danshi’s Joichiro Fujiwara, and DASH Beach’s Taichi Masu will aim to catch the seasonal “giant marlin.” However, even professionals struggle with catching marlins, and the DASH members have faced a formidable opponent beyond their imagination. They have repeatedly gone out to sea in an attempt to catch a giant marlin and convey local dishes using it. Will they be able to succeed?
The cast includes Shigeaki Kato, Taichi Masu, Shintaro Mori (SixTONES), Joichiro Fujiwara (Naniwa Danshi), and Richard Koga (Ae! Group).
