The 81-year-old Klaus-Jürgen N. from Duisburg-Bergheim is missing. On Thursday evening (November 4th) he drove his wife to a restaurant on Sternbuschweg in Duisburg-Neudorf. Then he made his way back home. However, he did not get there.
During the night the wife phoned her husband a few more times and he told her that he had driven through Krefeld, Neuss, Willich and Kaarst. He also complained of malaise and headaches and said that his tank was as good as empty. After that, his cell phone was switched off. It was last located around 2 a.m. on Friday morning (November 5) in Mönchengladbach-Wickrath.
He is traveling with a Suzuki Vitara in white (BJ 2014) with the registration number DU-GK1989. The man from Duisburg wears glasses, is about 1.80 meters tall and has a thin stature. When he disappeared, he wore gray functional pants and a red and blue checked shirt. He was dressed in a black and anthracite-colored fleece jacket and a black anorak. (Th.) The police suspect that the senior is disoriented and in a helpless situation.
The population is asked to provide information on the whereabouts of the 81-year-old or his vehicle. In Mönchengladbach and the surrounding area in particular, the police ask citizens to keep their eyes open and to dial the emergency number when they come across them.
