A 21-year-old speedster was stopped by the police in the Neckarau district on Friday evening. The young man was noticed on a police patrol in Neckarauer Straße near the main fire station, as he was driving his 3-series BMW in a grossly illegal manner and ruthlessly towards Ludwigshafen, trying to reach the highest possible top speed. The following patrol car had to accelerate to a speed of around 140 km / h in order not to lose sight of the BMW. At the Neckarau crossing the BMW drove off in the direction of Ludwigshafen. At the roundabout near Grosse Holzgasse, the driver of the BMW accelerated again strongly until he heard the stop signals from the patrol car. During the subsequent check, the BMW driver was completely unapologetic and uncooperative. He is now being investigated for participating in a prohibited motor vehicle race and his driver’s license has been confiscated.
