On Tuesday (April 20th, 2021) there was a traffic accident with personal injury at the intersection of Berk’sche Straße / Kalkarer Straße (B57) at around 4:55 p.m.
A 78-year-old woman from Kleve drove her VW on Berk’sche Strasse from Bedburg-Hau in the direction of Wissel and crossed Kalkarer Strasse at the intersection. Here she collided with a 44-year-old motorcyclist from Kalkar, who was driving his Honda on the B57.
Due to the force of the collision, the motorcyclist was thrown against the VW of a 52-year-old woman from Kalkar, which was waiting on Berk’schen Strasse at the intersection, and finally came to a rest in the adjacent field.
The 44-year-old was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to a nearby hospital by an ambulance. (cp)
