Today at around 11.10 a.m., the ILS Freiburg received information from a touring skier that there was an avalanche on the Zastler slope. The report also stated that a person had been buried.
Further evidence revealed that the 35-year-old man was able to free himself and fortunately remained unharmed.
Despite this knowledge, the approx. 20×200 m large avalanche field was searched by the mountain rescue service with the help of a drone and an avalanche dog. The avalanche did not endanger other people.
Due to the snow situation, there is a considerable risk of avalanches and snow breaks in the southern Black Forest.
