On Friday, December 4th, 2020 at 1:24 a.m., the fire brigades from Friedenweiler and Rötenbach, as well as the police from Neustadt and the DRK were called to a fire alarm in a clinic in Friedenweiler.
According to the current status of the investigation, a cell phone attached to the charging cable had caught fire. The fire alarm system was triggered by the smoke development.
Before the rescue workers even arrived, the fire was extinguished so that the flames could be prevented from spreading to the inventory.
The owner of the cell phone was only slightly injured by the fire. She suffered a small burn injury to her hand. After initial treatment by the DRK, the 41-year-old woman was able to return to the spa clinic. The police put the property damage at around 200 euros.
