A witness informed the police on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at around 4:25 p.m. that several people took turns getting into a vehicle, allegedly in a drunken state. Some of the people are said to have been lying next to the road on the embankment.
The police were able to quickly determine the identity of the people on site. There is now an urgent suspicion that three of the men between the ages of 41 and 51 who were found were driving one after the other while intoxicated in the same car.
All three French nationals are charged with drunk driving. A blood sample was taken from each of them.
The investigations are being conducted by the police station in Müllheim.
