During a check on Saturday, July 31, 2021, officials from the Ahlhorn motorway police discovered inconsistencies on the A28. At around 8:15 p.m. they stopped a Renault in the area of the Hasbruch rest area, which had previously been driven in the direction of Dreieck Stuhr.
The license plate attached to the vehicle was issued for a BMW. The 24-year-old driver from Nienburg then stated that he had just purchased the vehicle and had attached the license plates of his registered vehicle to this vehicle. The man was forbidden to continue his journey.
The officials initiated criminal proceedings against him for falsifying documents, violating the Compulsory Insurance Act and the Motor Vehicle Tax Act.
