The control center of the Mülheim fire brigade was reported at around 8.30 a.m. this morning about a serious traffic accident on the A 40, just before exit 18, Winkhausen, in the direction of Duisburg. According to the caller, there should still be one person in the vehicle involved in the accident who was trapped but not trapped. The rescue team, an ambulance and an ambulance as well as the management service were immediately dispatched to the site by the control center. The accident, without third-party involvement, had occurred in a long curve in the direction of Duisburg. There, the car left the roadway for reasons that have not yet been clarified and ended up in the grass verge. Here he rolled over and came to a standstill lying on the right side of the vehicle. When the first fire engines arrived, first responders had already freed the trapped driver from his plight. Fortunately, the driver of the car, who was only slightly injured, was treated by the emergency services and transported to a nearby hospital for further examination. The fire brigade secured the site and ensured fire protection. During the approximately 30-minute operation, the right lane was closed to traffic.
