Mönchengladbach-Hardt, April 13th, 2021, 10:09 pm, Hardter Landstraße (ots)

Late this evening, the Mönchengladbach fire brigade was alerted via the emergency call about a traffic accident between a pedestrian and a car on Hardter Landstrasse. The pedestrian was hit by a car for an unexplained cause and suffered serious injuries. The occupants of the car were uninjured. The fire brigade and rescue services treated the patient for a long time at the scene of the accident. Since the place of action was in a wooded area, the area was illuminated using lighting devices and a light pole from the fire brigade. The patient was transported by an emergency doctor and an ambulance to a special clinic in Krefeld for further treatment. The police’s accident record was supported by fire brigade forces with bright light poles. Hardter Landstrasse was completely closed for the duration of the rescue measures and the accident recording by the police. The fire and rescue train from Fire and Rescue Station II (Holt), the Hardt and Rheindahlen units of the volunteer fire brigade, 2 ambulances and an emergency doctor, as well as the command service of the professional fire brigade, were in action.
