(MM) On April 25th, 2021 at 7:11 p.m., the Ludwigshafen fire brigade was alerted about an apartment fire in Sternstrasse in the Friesenheim district.
When the fire brigade arrived, there was a strong build-up of smoke from the ground floor of the two-story residential building.
The residents were able to leave the building on their own before the fire brigade arrived.
As a precautionary measure, three children and one adult were handed over to the rescue service with suspected smoke poisoning.
The fire in the living room was quickly extinguished. Due to the fire and the strong smoke development, the apartment on fire is no longer habitable. The house owner has procured replacement living space for the residents concerned.
The police have opened an investigation into the cause of fire.
The Ludwigshafen fire brigade with 29 emergency services and 7 vehicles from the professional fire brigade, the rescue service, the “chief emergency doctor”, the “organizational head of the rescue service” and the police were in action.
