During a ticket inspection on the train journey from Münster to Hagen, an employee of a private security company was stolen on Saturday evening (February 13th). After a ticket inspection by two male travelers, the ticket inspector discovered the loss of his cell phone. Since the two previously checked men had already left the train at Hamm main station, the one who had been robbed informed the federal police and described the suspects in detail. Equipped with the description of the person, the federal police forces searched for the two men and found them in a train to Krefeld that was ready to leave. During the subsequent search at the federal police station, they found the stolen cell phone on one of the two men. The federal police initiated an investigation against the 46-year-old Pole for theft and seized the cell phone. In the course of further investigations it was also established that the Mönchengladbach public prosecutor’s office had a keen interest in the man’s whereabouts because of theft and fraudulent activity. After completing the police measures, the accused was released from the federal police station.
