With unfortunate news, the people of Cartagena rose this morning, after the death of the young criminal lawyer Sergio Andrés Díaz Barrios was confirmed, after receiving two bullet wounds at the hands of a bandit who stole a gold chain, a watch and other belongings.

Díaz Barrios was robbed and wounded on Tuesday morning when he was on his way to work. This event was recorded in security cameras in the Los Alpes neighborhood, where he is seen fleeing from the assailants, but one of them chases him and shoots him in a heartless way and takes his belongings. His buddy was waiting for him on a motorcycle and they run away.
The young man was shot twice in the chest and one of those projectiles affected his lung, liver and heart. He was taken to the Madre Bernarda clinic, where he remained in an Intensive Care Unit, and although he was surgically intervened to try to save his life, this morning it was confirmed that his battle against death had lost him.
Sergio Díaz was a graduate of the Free University of Cartagena, had recently received his specialist diploma in Criminal Procedure Law from the Externado University of Colombia and also worked as an auxiliary Registrar in Cartagena.
