WoW player banned for 100 years for countering Black Lives Matter protests

Blizzard Entertainment banned one of the users for 100 years because he interfered with the in-game protests for the rights of blacks. About it informs Polish edition of BOOP. Allegedly, he insulted other players.

Later, the banned player posted a screenshot on 4chan, where the reason for the blocking was indicated as opposition to in-game protests of the Black Lives Matter movement. The user said that in fact he did not insult anyone and did not troll, but simply tried to remind the developers that their game is not related to politics. There is no official confirmation of this ban. Blizzard has not yet responded to the situation.

Early June Activision Blizzard acted in support of protests in the United States. Despite this, some users criticized the publisher, accusing the company of duplicity. Users reminded the developers of the punishment of the Hong Kong e-sportsman.

In the fall of 2019, the company removed from Hearthstone professional player competition Chung Ng Wai. The reason was that during the live broadcast of the competition, the e-sportsman supported the rallies in Hong Kong. After criticizing the fans, the developers eased the punishment for the player.
