Video shows the moment when the mother accused of killing her autistic son pushes him into a lake | Univision 23 Miami WLTV

In the images, recorded from a lakefront apartment complex, it is seen when a woman comes walking with a child, whom she carries by the arm, at 6:38 pm last Thursday, May 21.

Then it is observed when she is pulling him along the road, at one point she hugs him to continue together along the shore of the lake and it seems that she looks at her surroundings. Suddenly he stops for a few seconds, pulls the minor to the shore and pushes him hard into the water.

The little boy falls into the lake, but from the angle at which the images were recorded, his body is not seen, only the movement of the water. Immediately, the woman runs off and walks away, looking back from time to time, while the boy moves, perhaps in a desperate attempt to get afloat.

After a few seconds, the boy is no longer seen in the water, but the woman who launched him returns accompanied by a man, who goes into the lake to try to rescue the boy, realizing that he is drowning. Then another woman also comes to help.

Perozo assured that the mother, although she did not jump into the water, did seem worried. “I did see that she made a lot of effort to help him, even she ran desperately looking for help,” said the witness.

The man, seeing the situation, decided to help, “my instinct was to take everything and run away, but there was already a neighbor who was looking for everything too.”

In another video, Patricia Ripley is later seen drying her son out of the water, after bathing him with a hose given to him by neighbors. In addition, on site are the two people who helped her in the rescue.

Katherine Fernández Rundle, Miami-Dade County District Attorney, He said the victim, being an autistic child who was unable to speak, was unable to tell the people who rescued him that it was his mother who had pushed him.

An hour later, according to Fernández Rundle, the mother took her son Alejandro to another channel, but this time no one was able to save this little boy.
