Vardy saves point for Leicester City and ends Arsenal’s strong streak

The exciting top match between Arsenal and Leicester City ended in 1-1. With that, a series of four wins in a row for Arsenal comes to an end and Chelsea remains the number three in England.

Arsenal came out of the league stop dramatically, but was working on a very strong series and is again fully participating in the European places. The Londoners were also strong against Leicester. Leicester handed out the first pinprick, but Arsenal took the lead. Bukayo Saka kept the overview and served the now detached Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who finished.

Leicester was then unlucky with the arbitration with Kelechi Iheanacho’s rejected goal after just over half an hour. He equalized, but would have committed an offense for that. Kasper Schmeichel then had to stretch a few times and Iheanacho dropped another chance at 1-1.

In the second half, Arsenal did not participate in the arbitration. A goal by Alexandre Lacazette was disallowed for offside and Eddie Nketiah’s substitution lasted only two minutes. He got red because he went straight on his direct opponent. In the last five minutes of the game, Jamie Vardy tied the score at 1-1.
